Tumakuru Machine Tool Park (TMTP)
The Government of India, in Department of Heavy Industry (DHI)
Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprise has a scheme on
“Enhancement Competitiveness in the Indian Capital Goods Sector” with
the main objective of making the Domestic Capital Goods Sector Globally
Competitive. This scheme has a component of “Integrated Industrial
Infrastructure Centre” (IIIC) to make machine tool sector more competitive.
TMTP has been developed in an extent of 530 acres of land as a self contained gated community. TMTP will have about 158 plots of various dimensions. This will be an integral part of CBIC-TITL on the Chennai - Bangalore - Chitradurga Industrial Corridor (CBICIC). This is coming up adjacent to Japanese Industrial Township.
Industrial plots will be allotted to Indian/FDI units belonging only to manufacturing chain of Machine Tools. The allotment procedure will be fair and transparent based on the existing KIADB guidelines. The land will be allotted by KIADB on Lease basis for 99 years.

About TMTP
Tumakuru Machine Tool Park (TMTP), is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Government of India and Government of Karnataka.
- This project is register under section 8 of company act 2013 as a “not for profit” company for implementation of Integrated Machine Tool Park at Vasanthanarasapura in Tumakuru District.
- This is planned in an extent of 530 acres of KIADB Land with a view to attract investments in the Machine Tools sector under the scheme of enhancement of competitiveness in Indian capital goods sector.
- The project cost is estimated to be around Rs. 421 Crores, out of which the Government of India has agreed to contribute Rs.125 Crores for the development of Tumakuru Machine Tool Park with world class infrastructure facilities.
- This park is being developed exclusively for manufacturers of machine tools, its Accessories, attachments, sub system, assemblies , components and parts, dies and moulds, tools and tooling, consumables and others directly related to Machine Tool Industries, service providers and also for units providing support to the Machine Tool Industry to set up their units in TMTP.
